To celebrate Global Money Week 2025, we are once again offering the Talk Money Financial Literacy in Action Awards. These awards recognise and reward teachers who inspire their students to be confident in managing money.
Kindergarten to Year 12 educators are invited to share innovative classroom approaches that help their students engage with, and strengthen their financial literacy skills. Submissions are invited from teachers from all year levels and across learning areas, no matter how big or small the lesson.

We are offering ALL Australian teachers a chance to win one of four $2,500 cash prizes for their school – and it’s easy to enter!
To enter, Kindergarten to Year 12 educators are invited to provide a submission that demonstrates innovative classroom approaches to help students strengthen their financial literacy skills.
There are four award categories recognising teachers and their exceptional efforts to embed financial literacy:
- Kindergarten to Year 6
- Years 7 and 8
- Years 9 and 10
- Years 11 and 12
The competition is now open and closes 5pm, Friday 28 February 2025.
About Global Money Week 2025
Global Money Week 2025 runs from 17 to 23 March. Organised by the OECD, Global Money Week is an annual global awareness-raising campaign on the importance of ensuring that young people are financially aware, and are gradually acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours necessary to make sound financial decisions and achieve financial wellbeing.
